High above Easton

A stone's throw from the ancestral home of Jim Brose, founding member of the Catskill Golf & Poker Club, The Club at Morgan Hill commands a strategic position over Easton, Pa. and the Delaware River Valley.

It's a tough course, too. Damon Chapman, Brose and I played it from the back tees, and struggled all the way around a slow march up and down the hills on a very hot day.

My highlight was hearing Brosey compliment my new found distance with my Titanium Wilson driver. But my iron-play was so poor, and my chipping so horrendous, that I bought new irons after the round.

Jim Brose tees off on his home course.

Golfing with Hal

Pebble Creek Golf Course in Colts Neck, N.J., is a short, easy course -- 6,300 from the blues. But I'm still very proud of my 78. That's a good score for me. You get a sense of the course and the conditions from the above video.

Swing Thoughts

The golf swing is very simple, according to Ben Hogan. But describing it is very difficult, he added. Therefore, let us watch the author swing the club around his body. Perhaps, then, we can see what he is doing wrong, and perhaps provide valuable instruction to fans of Fairway Scriptures.
