Best course in Middlesex County, N.J.

My vote for best public golf course in Middlesex County, N.J., is Tamarack West.
Let us consider the first three holes.
Hole #1. Notice the two gentlemen preparing for their round above. They are in for a treat, no?
Consider the first tee, both elevated and short — even a topped drive will roll considerably down the fairway, providing the player with a sporting chance at landing his approach somewhere near the green.
Hole #2. A bush league driving hole that penalizes long straight shots. Weak players can try to cut off the corner and hope for a lucky lie, and real players can just shoot it over the woods and wonder what all the fuss is about.
Hole #3. Magnificence! A par five that winds through a gorgeous cavern of pines and rises steadily from tee to green. Did Washington lead the Continental Army along this route after the Battle of Monmouth? I have no evidence indicating otherwise, and will consider it fact until contrary evidence emerges.
